Launch of National Framework for Recovery in Mental Health which builds on committed efforts of service users, family members, carers and service providers to develop a more recovery oriented mental health service.
It utilses the New Economics Foundation (NEF 2009) definition of co-production as “… as delivering public services in an equal and reciprocal relationship between professionals, people using the services, their families and their neighbours”.
It continues that in mental health, “… co-production recognises that clinical supports and services are only one part of an individual’s recovery and sustained recovery involves a wide range of community and other supports such as housing, employment and social integration” (p.19).
